Most of the people ask this question that "WHEN SHOULD THEY HAVE PROTEIN SHAKE TO GET MAXIMUM RESULTS". 

When we wake up our muscles need protein for their recovery. 

The best option is to have eggs, oats etc(natural protein resources) after waking up and have your protein shake after 1 hour. Pre and Post workout supplementation is very important.

You should have 1 scoop of protein shake before and after your workout.As whey is a fast digesting protein so i would recommend you to have whey. It gets into your muscles within 30 minutes.
So basically you should have maximum of three scoops per day. Over dosage can lead to side effects as whey protein should not be used as a dietary product. You can skip your Pre workout shake but Post workout is very important as it helps in muscle recovery and muscle building.
